Drop-In Greyhound Social at WAG: A posh place for spoiled pets…and their owners

You’ve made your fast friend for life, now let him or her make some more. Join the Greyhound Supporters of the National Capital Region on Wednesday, August 8th for a drop-in social at WAG: A posh place for spoiled pets…and their owners. Meet other greyhound owners from all across Ottawa, chat with new and old acquaintances, or browse through WAG’s large selection of quality pet products. Then sit down and relax with some tea, or fair trade, organic, shade-grown Kicking Horse Coffee at WAG’s in-house “Doggin’ It” café. Free parking for WAG customers is available in a parking lot at Bank and Sunnyside (north-east corner).

The Greyhound Supporters of the National Capital Region is “not-for-profit” organization interested in the health and welfare of retired racing greyhounds. We support greyhound-related causes that have been established to improve the health and physical well being of the retired racing greyhound globally. We do this by hosting fund-raising initiatives or finding other ways to support these causes, such as our Galgos corner. In the Ottawa area, we endeavour to foster the local greyhound community through events such as this drop-in social.

All greyhounds and their two or four-legged friends are welcome at this event, but we do ask that retractable leashes not be used for the safety and security of everyone.
