My name is Laura Simmermon and the Greyhound Supporters is a group that I started about three years in an effort to "give back" to the greyhound community at-large. We are not an adoption group nor are we linked to any particular group. Our objective is to raise money for greyhound-related initiatives, adoption groups or individuals involved with improving the health and welfare of the racing greyhound. We are also involved in raising awareness about racing greyhounds.

We try to run a couple of fund-raising activities every year, as well as do other greyhound things. We're currently working on a Greyhound Gathering" drop-in social at WAG (the dog shop and people cafe on Bank Street) on Wednesday, August 8th. And, we've started planning our third annual International Greyhound Planet Day event for sometime in late October.

I'll be happy to share more information as our plans become a little more concrete.

Camp LotsaDogs is always available to any dog group needing a place to party. We have a fenced in 3 acre area for those dogs deemed 'not leash free' with a pond (my new greyhopund Coal LOVES the pond).
We have a tent avaialble for you items, and the last group here brought picnic lunches, chairs and sat under tha apple trees and other shade trees and had a great time!
